Information Technology - IT Internship

Vitro, North America's largest manufacturer of architectural and automotive glass is currently seeking two IT Interns at its Wichita Falls, Texas location. The Interns will work directly with our local IT Staff on active projects to assist with optimization of our phone system, computers, and user experience.  

We are seeking proactive interns who want to grow their knowledge and gain relevant skills in the IT field!   Seeking someone passionate about problem solving and trouble shooting who is looking to surround themselves with knowledgeable IT experts. 

We are looking for an IT intern to assist in diagnosing, resolving, and documenting incident tickets.  As a member of our support team, you will be part of a team who work together to provide a great experience for our users. 

Important attributes we're seeking: 

• Ability to troubleshoot IT issues and follow the issue to a resolution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at varying levels of the company
• Willingness to learn new things and grow new skill sets
• Technical skills to include a strong understanding of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
• Able to successfully multitask and prioritize service issues
• Experience with remote management of computers

Our 24/7 manufacturing environment is supported by over 650 employees & contractors.   Our local IT Department is skilled at quickly working on solutions for these users and making the user experience as seamless as possible.  We're looking for dynamic team-members to help with projects such as: 

• Updating and inventorying our phone system to include documentation and testing of system
• Programming  of VoIP phones and deploy to analogue phone locations for login, testing, and end user training
• Setting up computers - disk cloning and active directory
• Direct User Help - password/MFA assistance, submitting tickets

• Prefer Junior or Senior level student in a degree field related to IT 
• Bilingual (spanish/english) a plus but not required
• Good communication skills with all levels from hourly production employees to Senior Level Leadership
• Willing to work in a plant environment 
• Monday through Friday full-time role, with potential opportunity for overtime on weekends as needed. 
• Willing to work early June 2023 still start of school in August 2023 - able to start sooner if interested and local
